Writer's cramp?

So, I am dusting off the ole' blog for some really big news!! We are MOVING!! We are very excited that after over a year of searching, (our realtor actually told us that she first came out to our house in Feb '09!!) we have finally found a house that will work for us. The house actually went on the market while we were on vacation and we made an appointment to see it as soon as we got home. It didn't take any time to decide that this was it. We put an offer in on the home last Thursday after meeting with the realtor to list our home on Wednesday night. Then we prepared for a busy weekend of showings...not my favorite part!! They did let us sleep in Saturday, but we had to be out of our house by about 11:30. We had 3 showings scheduled on Saturday all back to back and were cleared to go back home by 2pm. Until we got a call asking if the last realtor could schedule a 2nd showing that evening. This time we stalked them!! We were next door meeting with our realtor, so we just kept an eye on who was there. We were relieved that is was a nice older woman and what appeared to be her adult children. They would be a perfect fit for our neighborhood and we were quite pleased. The same realtor scheduled a 3rd showing of our home on Monday evening and we were notified promptly after that we would have an offer by morning!! After a day of negotiating, a price was agreed upon and the contract was signed!! Such a huge relief that it only took 5 showings (3 from the same person!!) and 5 days to sell our house!! Now we will prepare for a mid August move...the perfect time of year to move in Texas;) While we are very excited about this new chapter in our lives, it is very bittersweet to be leaving behind a home that holds so many precious memories. We can't wait for all of our friends and family to come visit us, but here is a sneak peek at our new home:
