So, our totally snowfall came in at 12.5 inches...record snowfall for us!! Today was officially a 'snow day'. We don't get to say that too often because most cancelled school days are not officially 'snow'...usually ice. Having the day off with actual snow is way more fun!! Blayne was up early this morning and ready to get outside. We quickly told her that she would have to wait until after breakfast. Just as I was starting to get my stuff done (I had LOTS planned to do today...big weekend coming up and I expected her to be in school!!), she asked if she could go out again. I finally let her out and told her that I would join her soon. It didn't take too long for her to start yelling for me from outside. I decided that if I gave her a few minutes, I could get back to what I was doing and I could get a few pictures of her in the snow. It didn't take long and we were back inside and she left me to my chores:) I finished my chores and we sat down to have a big bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup...perfect leftovers for our snow day!! I knew when I was done that I was going to have to come up with entertainment...she had been good all day!! I decided we were going to go find a hill and go tubing!! We don't really have a sled and I KNEW my child would not go down a hill in her pool floaty with her bottom dragging in the snow, so we got out the floaty and threw a black trash bag over it....worked perfectly!! We might have been a little ghetto, but we are not above ghetto by any means!! Needless to say, Blayne had a blast!!! We even went down together!! What a fun 'snow' day!
